July 2008 - Attention All Landords...

EPCs are a legal requirement set by the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive and will be required for all residential tenancies created (including renewed tenancies) on or after 1 October 2008.

Once obtained, a certificate remains valid for up to 10 years. We look forward to working proactively with all of our landlords over the coming weeks to ensure that an EPC is obtained before the deadline.

April 2007 - Tenancy Deposit Protection

As part of the Housing Act 2004 and with effect from 6 April 2007, all deposits taken on assured shorthold tenancies must be protected by a Government-authorised deposit protection scheme.
